Wir sollten dieses Mal aber genug früh planen und uns fragen, welche Zielgruppe wir eigentlich anstreben: Linux Unbekannte/Newbies, FLOSS Interessierte/Anhänger, Linux Bekannte oder aber andere?
Ich habe in meinem Umfeld festgestellt, dass es einfacher ist, Leute dazu zu bringen, zuerst FLOSS auf Windows einzusetzen. Libreoffice ist z.B. ein guter Kandidat. Warum stürzen wir uns immer gleich auf das Betriebssystem statt die Leute zuerst von Anwendersoftware zu begeistern. Wenn sie dann alles Software benutzen, welche auf Linux auch existiert, wir es einfacher sein, sie von diesem Wechsel zu überzeugen.
Natürlich müsste man dann den Anlass etwas vom LPD loslösen.
warum?
bei der demo einfach zeigen, wie gut die programme unter linux laufen! und wenn die leute fragen, kann man schon sagen dass sie auch unter windows / os x laufen.
Meine Antwort bezog sich auf die Zielgruppe. Ich habe das Gefühl, wenn man die Zielgruppe für Windows und OS X Benutzer öffnet und sich auf Anwendersoftware konzentriert, mehr Leute am Event interessiert sind als wenn man das Ganze unter dem Linux-Motto laufen lässt und einfach den Anwesenden zeigt, dass sie das auch auf Windows laufen lassen können. Diese Personen, welche dies interessiert, sind dann einfach nicht da.
genau: statt denen sagen "hier schau mal kubunu" kann man auch "hier ist wie du eine schalplatte in mp3 umwandelst" sagen. demo gerät läuft mit linux, audacity dann auch unter windows und os x. das checken die leute schon! dann kommen auch die windows und mac anfänger!

und wenn dein linux cool und nicht crap aussieht, dann fragen sie auch "und was ist das für ein windows?". und du kannst ein stapel slackware disketten verteilen!
meine erfahrung zeigt, dass die leute nicht ein computer bedienen wollen, sie wollen etwas mit dem computer erledigen (z.b. schalplatten digitalisieren).
