TRON (The Realtime Operating system Nucleus) a Japanese invention of the 
1980's runs as an embedded system in about 4 billion devices worldwide.  
Guess what, a lot of the implementations of the TRON spec are GPL'ed.  So if 
you work in M$ Japan and have an imode phone, you're a GPL consumer :)

Just thought this was interesting, as we in the "west" generally concentrate 
on large servers and the desktop.
