I don't know about Nokia specifically, but in 2004, on behalf of Open Source
Risk Management, Dan Ravicher made a study of Linux which concluded that
"283 software patents not yet reviewed by the courts could potentially be
used to support claims of an infringement against Linux."

And Linux is only 3 to 8% of the OS, depending on the definition of OS.
