Fergus Cassidy just pointed me to this:
http://www.forfas.ie/news/intellectual_property/

I don't see any times on the page, but it has dates and titles for upcoming
talks. (Fergus said they might be real-early-morning, like 08h30) Here's
two which would probably be worth attending, particularly the second:

> Friday 9 December
> EPO proactive in the prosecution of software
> Dr. Jörg Machek - European Patent Office

> Friday 14 October
> The Evolving International Framework for Irish IP Regulation
> Michael English, Intellectual Property Unit, Dept.of Enterprise, Trade &
> Employment.

All are welcome to attend, and they're in Wilton Place, D2.

Also on the above linked page are recordings and even transcripts of the
talks in their last session. One talk that is probably worth a listen/read
is the one titled "Patenting Software - The Current State of Play" - it's a
talk by a patent attorney (from the European Patent Office, IIRC).
